THE BASKET
Version Three: this is a great one for younger children. take a piece of oaktag fold in half and cut out a half of circle so that the end is attached. Have the children color it and stick on food stickers (fruits and vegetables) in the inside of the basket. Create a handle by having the children string beads onto pipecleaners. Attach to the basket. You can even put inside one or two real hamantashan that the children baked. There you have a complete basket made just by them.

Two easy ideas for making graggers with young children are: 1. Let the children decorate the bottom of a paper plate. Fold the plate in half, add beans and staple closed. 2. Collect pringles containers from parents. Cover the container with construction paper and let children decorate (according to age level). Put in small bells, or beans, and "whala" you have a gragger.
My daughter came home last year from nursery with a cute Purim idea. THey made a "megilla" of pictures of the Purim story which was taped to a pushka and wound around it. THe teacher gave them all a few pennies to put into the pushka and so it became a noise maker.
