THIS IS REALLY A FUN PART. LET LOOSE AND ENJOY:
* bring a bowel of soapy water into the classroom and have sponges for all kids. let the kids clean the classroom
* hide pieces of bread (option: in silverfoil) around the classroom have them find it.
(you can close lights and give them flashlights )
* to teach the idea of chametz and matzah. have by snack time a chametz bag (crackers, chips, cookies, bread) and a matzah bag (inside is the obvious) and ask them what they want from each. remind them, that on pesach we put away the chametz bag until after and only eat from the matzah bag.
*can make brooms with your class paper towel rolls with string attached.
*this is a good opportunity to teach them how to sweep
*A cute duspan. roll a brown (large size) color paper tightly to be the stick. take a paper plate and cut in half. Have the children color pictures of chametz (cupcakes, cake, cookies, bread...) and paste them on one half of the paper plate. Attach the two paper plates , (facing each other, stapeled at the round part) and attach the close part to the stick. It should look like a dustpan that has swept up some chametz.
