Go inside a parachute cave with all your children. ..give them siddurim and torahs to learn from. Have the assisten teacher be the soilders. as soon as she comes , they hide their 'jewish things' and take out their dreidels. This makes the kids very excited , besides, it teaches why we play dreidels in the most real way possible.

When telling the story of oil, hid bottles of water in your classrrom and only one with a cover.....they have to find it just like the juice had to in the times of the Bet- Hamikdash!

In order to make the kids feel like a macabee you can play "cut the chocolate"
with them . Spin a dreidel when they land on the gimmel and let them get dressed like a
macabbee. After they are dressed, they cut up chocolate (or a latkeh if you want it to be a chanukah food) and eat it until another person gets a gimmel. Then they must get undressed and the next person begins. (dress, cut eat,...)
