*Adding tiles to your menorah as decorations

*For younger children, get chanukah stickers and have them decorate the wood (after they paint it). Go over it with modge podge once they are done, so it stays stuck to the menorah.

*For any chanukah picture: Take an oaktag and cut out the shape of a dreidel, menorah, candle..... place contact paper in place of the thing you cut out. Have the children cut and place boxes of suliphen paper onto the contact paper. Very pretty! It is the affect of stain glass!
DREIDELS
*Make a dreidel out of clay, stick a crayon straigt through it so that when it dries, it spins and colors!
*take  dreidel (or any other) cookie cutters. Have the children dip them in glue and put in on a paper. sprinkle with glitter. It comes out very pretty!
Make a chart with an eye, ear, nose,mouth, hand for the five senses and show the kids visuallly what part of chanukah relates to those things. ex. Under eye
box candle, taste latkes, give kids experience chanukah in so many ways.
cookie dough recipe (enough for like 125 cookies)
6 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 teaspoons baking poweder
4 c. confectionary sugar
8 c. flour
2 c. margerine softened
bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
this is for chanukah cookies or anything else!
MENORAH- another cute idea is to paint a base of wood and then add alphabet blocks, spelling out the kids name. then add pennies and bolts on top to make it a menorah
EDDIBLE MENORAH- EASY
bake chocolate cake before hand and cut into long rows. add toothpicks as candles. On the bottom  put a little mini marshmellow and ontop a little nib (red for flame)
opptional: coat in cream first!
Sort candles according to colors (see sorting dreidels). The kids love to touch and play with the candles.
After, make some type of collage with all the broken candles!
Dreidel game that all kids can play!
Dreidel is quite hard for some children to play, so this is a cute and simple way to play.
Create a box (either paper or on the floor with tape) . make four squares in it. write nun, gimmel, hey , shin. Each one create a picture that shows what it is. Then play the dreidel game by having the children spin(however they could), where it lands (which box) they look at it and do what it says!

You can even create a dreidel game mat to take home!
Create  a box to put the box of candles in. A candle holder!
Popsicle sticks, decorate a box.....
- Have all different dreidels available for use. Each child receives a plain sheet of paper cut in the shape of a dreidel. After dipping the little dreidels into paint, spin them on the paper to make a really neat looking dreidel design. Hang from a string, it looks really nice!
Mak a star of david out of craft stick. Material 6 stick and glue. make two triangle and cross them to form star you can paint them blue and add glitter..
- FOR PARTY: Hanukah frames. Cut out a piece of the fun foam (at all craft stores) in the shape of a driedel. Have children decorate the driedel's with paints, glitter, etc. Take a picture of each child and place in the middle of the driedel. To make it a refrigerator magnet add a clothespin and put a magnet on the back. Now your frame also be a memo holder.

- Cut different size candle shapes out of construction paper. Have the children sort them by size. You can also, make different colors to sort.
Play this game during circle time. Gather several dreidels. Give one dreidel to a child and sing the song below. The child who is holding the dreidel at the end of the song, should spin it or stand up and spin like a dreidel. Give a second child a dreidel and pass two dreidels around while singing the song. - Cutest Easiest Eddible Menorah!
Big white marshmellows arranged nine in a row on a place or bed of grahm crackers as the base. Attach with marshmellow fluff.  On the middle one add another one and then add a candy corn as the flame ontop of each one. so simple, neat and cool looking.
For mor work add a miny marshmellow ontop of each one before you add the candy corn!
