Su Casa to provide dinner. * January 22 – Map testing begins for grades 3-5. 20 minutes/day in Math, Language Arts and Reading * Parents for Lunch – more than 200 parents participated – best turnout ever * Parent Teacher Conferences had more than 90% parent participation * New Web site - \\schools.sdmf.k12.wi.us\riverside - link to PTA needed. Had $2,500 in teacher requests. Decided on $260 for Nature Center, $500 to Technology Committee for Smartboards, $600 to Stein for Family Game Kits, $139 to Mrs. Wagner for Note Pad Co. * Two Superintendent meetings: o Board of Education has four candidates and three positions available o 2007-2008 school year – school begins August 27 o K4 passed o School finance study group needs members. Meets second Thursday of the month from 7-9 p.m. Contact Carol Rudnick, school district secretary. o Southeastern Wisconsin School Alliance Meeting – Thursday, February 8 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Treasurer’s Report * $3,7000 Gold C – less than last year * Talk about selling Pocket Peelers instead next year. * Will need to do another fundraiser next year 1st Vice President’s Report * Membership – four more staff added – three more still needed * No children or teacher names in hallway.
