| Perry Napier was born in Russell Co. Kentucky. Hospitals were few and far between in this area. Perry was delivered by a midwife in a rough frame house on a run down share crop farm off Bernarnd Ridge near Russell Springs. Perry was soon moved to his fathers hometown of Oneida,Kentucky. Perry's chilhood was filled with mountain tragedies and the peacefullness that only those old mountains could provide. You will feel the emotion and the mountain life in Perry's singing and songwriting. Perry plays Guitar,Banjo,Mandolin,Dobro,Bass and Mountain Dulcimer. He and his wife Lisa now make their home in Oneida,Kentucky. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Oscar Brown | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Oscar Brown was born in Georgetown,Ohio. Oscar's father had moved his family to Ohio for a better way of life and to escape the hell of working in the mines. The move was not soon enough. Cancer took him when Oscar was on;y 4 years old. Oscar was sent to be raised by his grandfather. Pap as Oscar fondly calls him taught Oscar the Gospel and the ways of the mountain people. Osacr carries on these mountain ways in everyday life still raising most of his own food and heating with a wood stove.Oscar writes about the mountains and sings with a feeling that can only be found in the hills of the south.Osacr's Pap is 97 and still preaching the Gospel and playing his guitar in church. Oscar plays Banjo,Bass, and Guitar as well as Mandolin. He and his wife Lorrain now live in Georgetown,Ohio. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
