OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Our purpose is to consistently strive to reach three very high goals.

  1. To please and bring glory to God-By knowing Him, obeying Him and worshipping Him 1 Cor. 10:31
  2. To prepare God’s people to perform their various ministries-In their families, at work and in the church family. Eph. 4:11-16
  3. To proclaim God’s message of salvation-To our community and to all we can possibly reach. Matt. 28:19-20

INTEGRATED BIBLE CONCEPTS

At River of Life Bible Institute, we believe that the Word of God is the standard and foundation for truth.  Our students will get into Scripture in a practical, pragmatic way through the natural (not forced) integration of biblical concepts in every subject.  Our educational resources will not contradict that which is written in the Bible.  As students study God’s truth, their relationship with Jesus-from salvation through maturation-will blossom. 2Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. (NIV)

PLANNING YOUR COLLEGE CAREER

At River of Life Bible Institute our purpose is to help each student find out their calling in life before they leave college so they have a concrete goal for life.  We want to ensure the student’s spiritual development as well as academic achievement, our entire curriculum at River of Life Bible Institute are solidly based in Scripture.  Our curriculum promotes moral and ethical values by interweaving Scripture throughout and showing how it applies in practical ways.  Our goal is not only to teach, but also to help adults grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Colossians 2: 6,7 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (NIV)

Planning your college career is a serious undertaking.  Although many of your courses will be determined by the graduation plan you select, you still have many other choices to make during your years of college.  The courses you select will be guided largely by your plans for the future.  Will you continue your education in college or in a trade or vocational school?  Do you want to learn a career skill in order to enter the full-time work force immediately after school?  Are you interested in a technical field?  Are you thinking of the ministry field or a professional field that requires many years of specialized education?  The answers to these questions are extremely important for making decisions about your course selections for your school career.  Your interests and abilities should also guide those answers.

Some students are sure of their future plans; others are not.  It is also common for young people to change their minds about which career to choose.  For this reason, it is important for you to plan as challenging a program as you can; if your career plans should change, then it will not be as difficult to move into another program.  While it may sometimes seem tempting to schedule a less demanding combination of courses, choosing courses that meet your needs of interests is the best way to prepare for your future.

Your experience at River of Life Bible Institute can be an exciting and rewarding time for students.  A very important component in preparing for the future involves career planning.  Preparing for future educational and career opportunities involves a great deal and students who are prepared to make these decisions are often times more successful than those students who lack a sense of direction.

There are many factors that determine your success in college.  It is important for students to have a focus so they can make the most of the opportunities that lie before them.  Counselors and teachers play key roles in guiding students through the many challenges that they encounter.  It is important to plan early, often and establish goals.
