Cadbury Roses was designed in 1938 to compete with 'twist wraps' . Within only a year Roses milk and plain chocolates become one of Cadbury's most important products.
1939-1945
In 1939 Cadbury became the official chocolate supplier to the Australian Armed forces, Cadbury chocolate was supplied in brown paper and made with a special formula to stop it from melting
1958
Picnic was another breakthrough for Cadburys with its caramel, wafer, nuts and chocolate making it popular.
1966
Cadburys Caramello koala was the first of their products to be based on an Australian animal. The mould, shape and caramel centre has remained unchanged for over 20 years
