1893

In 1893 George Cadbury bought 120 acres of land near the Cadbury factory to build "Bourneville Village". Its aim was to provide workers with quality, affordable homes. "Bourneville Village" had 143 cottage style homes all together.

1899

After Richards sudden death when he was 63, George was joined by his two sons Edward and George as well as Richards sons William and Barrow.

By this year the amount of employees had gone up to 2,600.

New additions to the factory included Laboratories, advertising offices, employee educations and employee training. Cecil Alden was hired to create a series of poster and advertisements for Cadbury's.

1905

Before 1905 all eating chocolate had been dry and coarse. So George Cadbury jnr set out on his new challenge to create a smoother chocolate. a new plant was built and a large amount of money was spent on researching, but by 1905 there was success, a new, softer chocolate was created. It was called "dairy Maid" since then it was changed to "Dairy Milk"

1915

Milk tray took its name from a style of assortment, the milk chocolate assortments were delivered in 2.3 kilogram boxes and then arranged on trays which the customers could then pick from. 

1919

In 1919, Cadbury Brothers joins with J S Fry & Sons, Fry's Turkish Delight is still a  favourite to this day.
