Directions to the Riverbank Traditional Powwow
Please Note- there will be construction in the Lansing area. These directions should get you around it
Coming from the East
From Detroit area:                                             (approx. 2 hour)
Take I-96 west to I- 496 (this will be exit 106B)
Take I-496 west to exit 7A (Grand Ave). Ttoward Down-Town)
Turn Right onto S. Grand Ave.(Heading North)
Go North 1 mile to the Powwow (Just north of Shiawassee st)
From Port Huron / Flint areas.                       (Flint,  1 hour, 20 min,   P-H  2 hour, 20 min)
Take I-69 west toward Lansing. (To flint if starting in Port Huron or Sarnia)
Take I69 to exit 89 (US 127 south). (Take the exit ramp, then the second split from THAT ramp.)
Take US-127 South to 496 west.
Take I-496 west to exit 7A. (Grand Ave) (Toward Down-Town)
Turn Right onto S. Grand Ave. (Heading North)
Go north one mile  on S. Grand Ave. (just past Shiawassee st. )
Coming from the South
From Jackson area                                                  (45 min)
Take US127 North to I-496 west.
Take I-496 west to exit 7A. (Grand Ave) (Toward Down-Town)
Turn Right onto S. Grand Ave. (Heading North)
Go north one mile  on S. Grand Ave. (just past Shiawassee st. )
From Indianapolis IN. area                                        (4 hours)    
Take I-69 North to exit 95.for  I-496-E.
Take I-496 east to exit 6. (toward Pine- Walnut sts. "downtown"
Stay straight to go onto Main st. for one half mile.
turn left onto Grand Ave (Head North)
Turn Right onto S. Grand Ave. (Heading North)
Go north one mile  on S. Grand Ave. (just past Shiawassee st. )
Coming from the West
From Grand Rapids. area                                        (1 hour)    
I 96 east  I-496-E.
Take I-496 east to exit 6. (toward Pine- Walnut sts. "downtown"
Stay straight to go onto Main st. for one half mile.
turn left onto Grand Ave (Head North)
Turn Right onto S. Grand Ave. (Heading North)
Go north one mile  on S. Grand Ave. (just past Shiawassee st. )
Coming from the North
From Bay City                              (2 hours)
Take I-75 south to I exit 116 (I-69 west)
Take I-69 west toward Lansing.
Take I69 to exit 89 (US 127 south). (Take the exit ramp, then the second split from THAT ramp.)
Take US-127 South to 496 west.
Take I-496 west to exit 7A. (Grand Ave) (Toward Down-Town)
Turn Right onto S. Grand Ave. (Heading North)
Go north one mile  on S. Grand Ave. (just past Shiawassee st. )
If, for some reason, you get lost, Look for the state capitol bldg.
The powwow is roughly 1 mile North and one mile East of the Capitol bldg, on the western banks of the Grand River.

I 496, Cedar street Exit .
At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Cedar street.
Take Cedar street North (this will split into oneway Larch street North) 3 miles
Turn left onto Shiwassee street. 
Take Shiwassee sSt 1 mile west to Grand Ave.
Turn right. Follow Grand Ave north 1/2 block.
Turn left into the Lansing community college parking structure.
