MISSOURI RIVER OTTERS BEGIN SEASON WITH 10 CONSECUTIVE HOME VICTORIES

Sunday, December 19, 1999

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO . . . The Missouri River Otters have established a new United Hockey League record for consecutive home victories to start a season and they will now attempt to set the League's overall record for consecutive home victories. With two wins over the weekend (Friday vs. Muskegon and Saturday vs. Rockford), the River Otters are now 10-0-0 at home this season.

The 10 consecutive home wins to start a season breaks the old mark of eight straight set by the 1993-94 Thunder Bay Senators and matched by the 1994-95 Detroit Falcons, 1997-98 Madison Monsters and 1997-98 Quad City Mallards.

The League record for consecutive home victories is 14 set by the 1996-97 Flint Generals (from December 20, 1996-February 26, 1997). Missouri plays their next three games on the road before returning home for a three game homestand on December 26, 27 and 29 (Madison twice and Mohawk Valley).

With their unbeaten home record and .500 road record (5-5-1), the River Otters have been at or near the top of the Western Division standings the entire season. Led by the UHL's top goaltender Brian Regan (15-3-1, 1.88 GAA, .935 save percentage), Missouri has allowed a League-low 47 goals including only 17 on home ice.

Below is a game-by-game breakdown of the River Otters home games to date.
