description --
a thoroughbred lineage shines through his well built frame. powerful muscles constrict about his limbs and sinew strong as iron is cast over the sheetrock of bone. a crown laced with the charm and beauty of an arabic decent reminds them all of his graceful posture and luxurious ways. in no way is he the least bit unattractive. harks tip atop his chiseled crown if he is pleased, but they are normally held just at center, neither erect nor pinned. his eyes are of a dark bourbon, but no matter how much the glisten, one cannot see so much as a hint of his emotion through the caverns of his sockets. locks constantly fall before his facade, giving him a wild, untamed feature that also unleashes his spirit. a tiny white mark splashes the very tip of his muzzle, and also the very middle of his forehead. appendages are dipped in an ebon paint, as well as his maw, spinal cord, and the tassels that hang limply across his muscular nape. broad shoulders then give his slender body a slight bulk, and yet fits the elegant flow of his spine down to the tip of his rump. a russet hue then shines over his body, casting a maroon glow in the darkness and tipping his charm a little to the darker side.
personality --
surprisingly amantiago didn't take after his father in most of his personality. his mother's sharp tongue and quickness seemed to be more of an aspect he aquired rather than his father's inability to be compassionate in even the smallest ways. he is more gentle than most would imagine, but only to the limit. his skills in fighting keep him more than rough, though. but amantiago has his side that proves to cradle his entire weight. he is not a dark those simply chooses to be so and pretends they are the nightmares of all the others. he, in fact, doesn't mind if others don't find him intimidating. now that doesn't mean he won't try and act it, for he has his way of making himself appear to want them to cower. and yet, despite all this, he has a side of charm the ladies can't resist. even the glint in his eye is hansom and resembles that of a devilish gleam. he's just full of surprises.
history --
amantiago was born to the ruthless king of a country far away, where the name cimoron island was not even a myth about the words spoken throughout this mix of equines. his mother, the lady, vadiera, was the known queen to kadiar. she took his lust and made his children, and she was the only one to have this honor as well as rule by his side. but there was one thing she was not lucky enough to get, and that was his love. kadiar was one of the many few who simply did not have it in him to love, and so his life consisted of merely games and selfishness. now amantiago was kadiar's first son, and would be his only. the king could not help to be proud of his newborn heir and couldn't wait to begin training him. barely in his days, the king had a line of the herd's finest colts, who were no less than a year or two in their age, ready to help his father train him to be more than he would already become. a week into his life, he had bruises about his battered body, and finally kadiar had enough sense to stop the battle before his only son fell to his own hands in weakness. but instead of taking in the fact that amantiago was not yet old enough to begin his training, he scowled at the fact that he had to admit his son had lost. and so once vadiera allowed for her son to leave her side, kadiar took him again. and again they trained. this went on for the next two years.
there was one point when kadiar wished for another child. he called to his lady, vadiera, and together they created another. but when vadiera came with the child at her side, all the herd gathered about to see their next heir march proudly forward, it was no son kadiar received. and the mother knew what was to happen next. and yet, she still didn't flinch when she moved aside and revealed to kadiar the filly she had birthed. amantiago could still taste the blood in the air, for her skin was still moist and dripping with the liquids of labor. kadiar immediately flamed in outrage, nearly knocking the ebon filly off her feet by the mere force of his dagger smacking against the terrain. and then he banished her, without so much as the taste of her mother's milk. nameless and hungry, amantiago believed his sister died in only days, if that long. and so he put it behind him, trying to forget the horrific scene of that day when he saw the worst of the king, kadiar. and yet, he couldn't deny that his father was more the dark than he would ever be. how could another be so hateful and uncaring?
the strongest colt of the time, who was only a year ahead of amantiago, was put against him during a foggy day. amantiago struggled with this one, unable to grip him tight enough to end this battle. blood seeped from his open wounds, half of them paining from yesterday's struggle. it wasn't fair that all his opponents were healthy and well rested while he was already bloodied and wounded from previous wars with others. but his father pushed him on the sidelines, making him continue even when his strength was about gone. seconds felt like hours. minutes like days. and finally he fell with a loud thud to the ground, unable to get himself back to his feet. he turned to his father, who now towered over him with the sketch of anger carved into his features. and right there his father beat him until blood oozed from his tongue as he lay panting upon the ground. all night he lay there, unable to stand until morning. and once he stood, he walked away, escaping to the edge of the land where no one could find him. and there he healed. about three days went by, and he could tell by the constant screams of many equine's cry in agony that his father was not pleased and would stop at nothing to get answers even from the innocent. amantiago stepped up, his wounds scabbed over with a thickness that should hold while he got his job done. all these years of his father simply watching would catch up to him, for amantiago was the one who always did the fighting. and that night amantiago slaughtered kadiar, leaving his carcass to dry in the sunlight. but instead of taking over, he fled. vadiera nearly ripped him apart in her broken pain. the others were frightened by it all, not daring to step close to either their lady or their prince. there was nothing left for him here.
days into his retreat, he stumbled upon the ocean's side, and he swam to a nearby island, wiping his scabbs clean and refreshing himself with the short distance to the nearby island. there he claimed a land of his own, shagri-la peak. making his new home, he settled in. but the flashbacks in his mind were severe and constantly haunted his memory. he found a love, ensra, and eventually they gained each other's trust enough to love in their secret sort of way. together they foaled a child, esperensra, who amantiago did not get to know all that well, for after she was born everything became chaotic. amantiago was made to believe ensra fell to a disease and esper, his daughter, fled to the loner alliance rather than making herself at home in her born world. amantiago, for a while, vanished from the island and made vacation out of the mainland. but he was drawn back months later to find that his daughter had become loner queen. ensra, to him, was a mere memory and every thought reflected her image and pained his heart. let us see how he will be remembered in later days.
