Hard Drives
The Hard Drive is the part of the computer that stores the information that you use.  It's not that difficult to pick a hard drive out, but here are some ways.  The company makes a difference when chosing a Hard Drive. Western Digital is the best you can buy, but expencive.  Seagate is also a good company but it doesnt work with Windows XP very well.  Maxtor is also a good company to consider.  There are different speeds 7,200 RPM or 5,400 RPM, it's based on how fast your computer stores the information, picking one is based on what your going to use it for.  Lastly  The amount of information you store makes a BIG difference in which one to pick.  The amount is rated in Bytes.  Look at chart below for help.
