The Story goes this way ........ It was early in the morning, a few degrees below normal even at this time of the year, making it even more chilly. But it was difficult to judge the mercury level from the beads of perspiration on the man's face. You could tell from the weariness and nervousness on his face as he paced up and down the passage outside the O.T. , that the night has been a long one . The doctor himself was not very positive - complications do arise for Rh -ve patients and added to this his patient responded very little to normal medicine, and he had to prescribe for an imported injection already! His patient had been brought in at about 9:40 p.m. last night screaming in pain. And from then on it was helpless waiting for this young man, barely in his 30's. An engineer by profession, he knew well how to tackle technical snags, or make managerial stunts , but this was entirely new to him. Not that anybody else could have done better, watching his beloved wife screaming in pain. The hour hand in the clock had , since then, turned a full 240 degrees. It now read 05:45 Hrs. Precisely at that time something happened! And the world was no longer the same place the man had known before. A few minutes later a nurse came out of the O.T. smiling. "Your wife has given birth to a angelic son." His first response was " How is the mother doing ?" "Both of them are doing just fine." That was all he wanted, and he was walking in Paradise! His joy knew no bounds !! The birth certificate read "..a son was born to Sri T.K.Chatterjee and Smt. Bharati Chatterjee on the ninth day of December, 1976." As he grew up it was fun time and learn time. His mother found in him the best toy she had ever had, and his father, the best follower. Every boy or girl of his age will tell you how awful schools are. But Alas! they have to be attended. So he too had to go to one , starting with Sunny Preparatory School in Calcutta, his home town. Ones in school, he didn't take much time to build a reputation of being the most talkative boy in the class, a reputation that followed him as he went from one school to another, finally completing his +2 from Sir Padampat Singhania Education Centre, Kanpur. ( He ofcourse needed a lot of friends and a dear cousin to pull him out !) His father had started a business of his own. And his mother, besides being a housewife par excellence, is a beautician and a classical dancer. He graduated with a B.Sc. (Tech) in Textiles from a cool college on the bank of river Hooghly, the College of Textile Technology, Serampore, and then after working for almost a year with M/s Indian Rayon, he completed his post graduated from IIT Delhi. It was more of a post graduation in Fun Technology. Talking of hobbies, he has had interest in every thing possible but has finally settled for photography (as of now!)
