Ritualfest policy on minors
When we first began Ritualfest, we considered the possibilty of children attending. It was decided then that no one under the age of 18 would be allowed due to the nature of the weekend. Two days of ritual after ritual is intense for a mature adult. We also wanted pagan parents to have the oppurtunity to enjoy a spiritually enriching weekend free from parental "jobs".

However, we do understand that age is not always an indication of maturity. We both know young people more than capable of handling a weekend of this sort. So we came up with a set of guidelines for young people to be allowed to attend if they wised to.

1. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed to attend unless they have SPECIAL APPROVALfrom both of the festival directors.

2. Both Ritualfest directors must agree on the youing person wishing to attend Ritualfest. If one says no, then both say no.

3. The young person will be allowed to attend a maximum of 3 rituals. They will be given a list to choose from and a parent/guardian must also attend the rituals.

4. The young person must squire for the weekend to help assure the festival runs smoothly.

5. At the end of the festival, if the directors feel the young person has proven their worth, they will be presented to the pagan community as a young
adult.

Tessa Lima was our squire last year and she did a fantastic job!  She will be back this year as a young adult and we will have the special honor of hosting her Maidening Rite of Passage on Sunday of this year's Ritual Fest!!!  We are very proud of our Tessa!  Trudy Herring will be performing the ceremony.

If you have a young person who wishes to attend, you must meet with at least one of the directors, preferably both, to discuss the possibility. You can contact either Tzaddia or Flame for more information.

Thank you for your understanding on this situation!
