Colors of the Rainbow
Although a rainbow comes at times,
When weather’s not the best.
It’s bright and glowing colors create,
A most interesting vest.
For if we take them one by one,
Examining each in turn.
The facts convey a timely tale,
And lessons quickly learned.
Yellow burns as bright as day,
The sun it’s mirrored twin.
And as night fades, into the sun,
A new day it does win.
Their flames burn heat so fierce.
Blazing on so quietly,
A deep fog they could pierce.
Blue is cool and sad some say,
It seeps into our psyche.
Memories of winters’ past, sad
This color doesn’t have to be.
Violet is dark and coldest yet,
Its tone reflects it’s use.
Shadows nightly it can bring,
Some tightly packed, some loose.
So when we think of rainbows’ ways,
We and many others.
Have varied and collective thoughts,
Of all a rainbow’s colors.
