Halo 2 Bot Speculation

Here I hope to prove not only the existence of bots in multiplayer, but the proof that bots might be ODST's, and other units as well...

I will show you how one image, when compared with existing images, shows that to be true...

FACTS
- Zanzibar is an Assault/CTF (Multiplayer) Map
- The Chief's armour is a  Emerald (Darrk Green) in colour
- The Chief's armour has never shown the 7th column symbol in Single Player screenshots
- Bots were confirmed (somewhat) in one of BBungie's updates (BELOW)
- Bungie wants to bring the entire singlee player experience to online (Check 2nd Info box)

Parsons' Crazy Theory
OK everyone. Deep breath. Studio manager Parsons has a theory, that the unkind might refer to as crackpot, but he's thought it out, so we'll go along with it for a bit. So his theory boils down to this fundamental premise: "If you want a flying car, you must buy a Roomba." Now it gets more complex than that. Parsons thinks that the Roomba's tech is cool, but relatively inconsequential, but its social impact is of paramount importance.

Now a Roomba, for the uninitiated, is that robotic vacuum cleaner. He thinks that if you're cool with leaving a Robot, or SuckBot as I call it for short, to rampage around your house while you're out, then you'll be cool with all sorts of AI in your house and life. Like a fly-by-wire robot-driven car.

I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that, but that's the gist of it. I would counter that obviously Robots are good at one thing: Rampaging. And there are further problems. For starters, they never have hands, always claws, gaping sucking maws, or lasers. None of these implements is useful for hugging, massaging or any other things you think you might want in your house.

(He's talking about Robots, He's talking about letting AI in your house and life = AKA BOTS = True)

"We still have the multiplayer game-types that people loved in Halo, but we're planning something special for Halo 2," hinted Jaime Griesemer, lead designer of Halo 2. "I don't want to ruin the surprise, but imagine the essential Halo single-player experience: pitched battles between the humans and the Covenant, massive vehicle and infantry engagements. Now imagine that every combatant is an actual person playing over Xbox Live!" The Halo 2 online multiplayer experience will feature squad-oriented team-play, real-time voice chat, and extensive community support.

ORIGINAL UNEDITED SCREENSHOT

Zoomed in image of the chiefs shoulder

Completed Shoulder Image

Notice the 7th column symbol, which has only appeared in multiplayer screens, is present ...

Zanzibar Background Proof

Notice the tee layout, the beach, and the stone background behind them match that of Zanzibar (a multiplayer level)

Check out the difference in the Armour Colour

Also notice their is no logo on the Chief's shoulder, and the difference in the colour (Both images are bright)

So here is the facts about the original Image...
1) The map is Zanzibar
2) The armour colour is NOT the Chief's
3) The symbol on the Spartans armour is the 7th column symbol

From this i conclude that this screenshot is infact, NOT a single player screenshot, this is a multiplayer shot. From this I believe that ODST's will be in multiplayer, and will be controlled by AI in the form of Bots. (I don't believe they will be selectable, because they don't have equal attributes to Spartans/Elites).

So Bots in multiplayer, and those bots will have a large number of selectable characters, so we can infact, Recreate the ENTIRE single player experience ONLINE.

Cheers,
~Kain
