Reject the Idea

When the decision of Roe v. Wade was made final it was the start of a new holocaust.  It was then that the legalized slaughter of the unborn began.  Mother Theresa said it best: "America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation.  The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men.  It has portrayed the greatest gifts--a child--as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience."

Over 40 million unborn have been put to death because they had no way to defend themselves from their murderers.  There were around five thousand abortions today and tomorrow the numbers will raise.  It has been proven since Roe v. Wade that the unborn is a living being.  Signs of life such as brain waves, a heartbeat, facial features, and distinct physical characteristics are shown.  And yet, abortions are still allowed.

There are many people that are led to believe that abortions are in the best interest of the unborn.  IN REALITY, ninety-five percent of abortions are for social reasons.  By allowing abortion we simply cheapen the value of human life.  When we legalized abortion we were saying that these children that have been given to us are trash.  We would rather throw them out than accept responsibility for our actions.  Have we become such cold-hearted people?  Are we really so selfish?  Or have we just become lazy?  We all make mistakes, but becoming pregnant is not one that you can ignore.  It is a life-changing occurrence either way that you look at it.

When the Beatles wrote the song, "All you need is love," they said the words that everyone is afraid to believe.  In this world, we are all searching for love, or someone to relate to, someone that cares about us.  By getting an abortion your destroying a life, destroying love, and you're destroying a gift given to you.

This world has certainly begun a downfall if a human being's life can legally be cut off.  Who are we to say who is to live and who is to die?  Isn't this up to the One who made us?  The One who gave his life that we may LIVE.  These things He did for us and yet we choose to destroy the very gift granted to us.

I look around this world and at times I feel as though I can hear the world weeping.  They're weeping from the hurt that's been inflicted, the confusion that they feel, the terror that's been caused.  They're weeping from the evil that's encircling them.  And they have no idea.  Sometimes I can close this feeling out and focus on one thing that is beautiful.  At that moment, everything around me disappears.  The angry people become silent, the weeping stops, the yelling is blocked out, and the bombs stop falling, and I smile.  In this moment a child is born.  That very moment of happiness, children bring a light and beauty into this world that no other thing can bring us.  They have so much joy and hope, and they are so full of peace.  Why would you want to destroy something so beautiful?

As I take another look around the world, I can't fathom a reason great enough to take a life away.  Everyone preaches to me reasons for abortion.  They are reasons that they truly believe to be legitimate.  Something in me knows that they are not reasons, but only excuses.  Or better yet, reasons to excuse the fear that they have inside them.  Perhaps we have too many options.  As I ponder this though, I am reminded of this great nation that we live in.  We have been given so many options and so many things that are up to us, and yet we demand more.  We are always asking for something more.  Legalizing abortion is only another option that we have been selfish enough to fight for.

I pray for our country, for our world.  That we will not take this life for granted, that we leave who lives and who dies up to God, who created us all.  I pray that the future mothers of this world have good, loving hearths and that they raise their kids with that love.  I pray for a revival of this nation.  It seems as though we have all been sleeping and we forgot to set our alarm clocks.  I pray that God work in the hearts of those who have life changing decisions to make during these days of trial.  Know that God loves you, no matter what decision you have made.
