Hello,
and welcome to my library. This is probably going to
be the section that will take me forever to build.
Mostly, because I have lots of books to place on my
site. I hope that each one is meaningful and useful to
those who visit my site.
Some of the books I'm allowed to place here, on the
internet for all to see, and some I am not. Simply
put, I care more about the freedom of information and
the need for people to share what they have and the
knowledge they've gained over time with others than I
do about the copyrights of authors. This does not mean
that I disrespect the authors, however; by all means, I
wish for a world where they are paid adequately for
their work.
As an
author, I can see why someone would want every view of
their work to be paid for. As a revolutionary and a
human, I also see then need for us to share our work
and our art. I also see a revolution happening when it
comes to things like books, movies, and music. Our
work as artists are almost completely owned by our
respective industries- with the advance of technology
and the simple fact that humanity is revolutionizing
our concepts of ownership and artist rights, these
industries are being radically changed, though mostly
they don't even know of it yet.
So, I issue the challenge for all to be the catalyst
for this revolution- share what we have, and freedom
will follow with our hard work. Let's make sharing and cooperation, and
our love for our work and our art overcome our need to
be chained to a system where the few own everything
and tell us what we can and cannot share and create.
