Lauren is officially growing like a weed!  (But of course she's not a weed, she's a beautiful flower)

Lauren is closing in on the 50th percentile for length (so she's almost smack dab in the middle in comparison to babies of her age).  She now weighs 13 lbs, 4.5 ozs, and can turn on the music from her little activity center on her own.  She makes me so proud!  :-)

Uncle Joe came for a visit on Thursday of last week, and he finally got to hold Lauren.  She nestled right in, and I think both Uncle Joe and Lauren liked eachother enough for a repeat performance sometime in the near future. 

A couple of weeks ago, Rita and I were honoured with tickets for the Ronald McDonald House Hamilton fundraiser.  It was a beautiful event with delicious food, good people, and a reason to dress up and have a night out.  We had a lovely time, even though we didn't win either of the two door prizes: a one week trip to Paris or a $5000 diamond necklace.  We were happy to have a change in routine, and got to show off pictures of Lauren, which is always a fun thing to do!
