Family Update
What's New
Sept 16, 2006

It's now been two nights in a row that we were able to cuddle with Lauren!  A new family record!  This tells me how well she's doing, and we have yet to find out for sure, but they were talking about taking out her IV last night at midnight (Rita and I were in bed, getting a good night's sleep), so we're off to find out.

Dr. Tunrapalski, the neuro muscular doctor  looking at our baby girl; was in and it looks like the form of muscualr distrophy that he thought there was a chance of Lauren having, is not the case.  He also tested her muscle enzymes, which came back with good results and there are no signs of troubles there.  He also tested for a rare muscular disorder that causes the muscles to flex with no choice for relaxation, and that came back negative.  So, Lauren is still a little mystery.  They're going to do some more blood work and send it out on Monday.  So hopefully we'll have some more answers soon as to why she keeps getting secretions in her lungs and mouth.  Nothing muscular has been ruled out yet, but things are looking better as we move along.

We're off to see her now.  Thanks again to everyone for your love, your support, and your prayers.
