Hello to all of you from all of us!

We had a VERY mementous day today... we took Lauren out for her first walk!!  With the assistance of a respiratory therapist, we were able to get Lauren out, and had a nice little stroll.   I got some video, but need to find software to get it up and running.  I'll let you know when that happens.

Everything is falling into place for getting Lauren home.  We have three homecare nurses that will be getting trained next week, Lauren's equipment has all come in, Rita and I are signed off on trach changes (and my dad did his first one today with me, and it went very well).

Lauren is doing quite well, all in all.  She hasn't been gaining as much as the dr's would like, so they have fortified her milk...again...and yet again, she is having some reflux.  We're hoping that it will stop soon, as she has been placed on anti-reflux.  But she has been having more and more awake periods, with her eyes opening as big as saucers, and she has beautiful eyes, just like her mother.  And ... eyes...just like her mother!  (I have pretty squinty eyes for those who haven't noticed).

She had a bath the other night, and was has a HME (Heat and Moisture Exchange) placed on her trach.  The first time it happened, it didn't go over so well.  This time, absolutely the opposite!  She did very well, and made her mom and I proud.

That's about it for now.  I'm going to get cracking on some math homework, and get that nasty stuff out of the way!

As always thank you for your thoughts, love, prayers and support.
