Hello again all you avid readers! It warms my heart everytime I hear about people reading the website and how showing their support through kind words, kind gifts, and kind visits. Thank you for encouraging me to keep this up, as is also a type of emotional output for me in both good and bad times. Again, thank you.
On to news at 11! Our top story, the battle of Lauren Cochrane. Rita spent a good amount of time with her today, and Rita THINKS (not for sure), but she thinks she witnessed Lauren attempting to swallow! This is VERY good, as it is a step away from needing the tracheotomy. Again, it is NOT FOR SURE. I say this, because things are still up in the air, and I don't want people thinking we'll be home this week. It is still going to be a battle, but it looks like we're on the winning team.
Lauren is continuing to cough up her secreetions, and has required less suctioning over the past two days. She still needs the assistance of the CPAP breating apparatus, but she is making some headway. Next to that little bit of news, nothing else is going on. I'm quite tired and have to work tomorrow and go to school, so I'm gonna catch some sleep. Take care of yourselves, and stay tuned for updates. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love support, thoughts and prayers.
