LAUREN IS IN A CRIB!
She was taken out of the incubator today around 4pm due to the doctors thinking her incubator was causing her temperature to rise. Now, if she keeps her own temperature up, which she has been, there will not be a need for the incubator again. I just spent a good long time snuggling with her, and she was very good. No alarms, no problems. She was just great!
Her eyes are starting to excrete a little something something, so she has been prescribed some eyedrops which will be given to her 3 times daily. She's had some more bloodwork done, and we're waiting to hear back. But again, things are looking really good, and her legs have come down a lot as well. I don't want to set myself up for disappointment, but today, Lauren just had a great day, which made both Rita and I have a great day!
I'm keeping busy with work and school, and Rita, well...she pumps a lot! Rita has been doing very well both mentally and physically, for those wondering. She may not be ready to lead her own workout-hour on TV, but she has come leaps and bounds in regards to her mobility.
Thank you all a hundred fold and more for what you have done. Your kindness and prayers and gifts and love are getting Lauren closer to coming home. Tune in tomorrow, same baby page, same babies parents!
