1909 Replacement Charter for Camp 7
After 20 years plus many hours of recent research
Governors Elisha Dyer Camp 7 finally gets an SUVCW Camp Charter
to replace the original lost at the Old Arsenal on Benefit Street in Providence
where the Camp previously met from 1909 to 1991.
The Cahrter was presented by National SUVCW Sr. Vice Commander-in-Chief Leo F. Kennedy
at the official Camp 7 100th Anniversary Meeting
at the RI GAR Civil War Museum on Dyer Avenue in Cranston.

100th Camp 7 Memorial Day Observance
Camp Commander Gregg A. Mierka, PDC, leads the 2009
100th RI SUVCW Camp 7 Memorial Day Proceedings.
At noon the flag was raised on the grounds of the Governor Sprague Mansion in Cranston.
The Camp conducted ceremonies at three cemeteries and enjoyed a collation at the Sprague Mansion
hosted by Lydia Raposa, President and members of the Cranston Historical Society.
