LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

Things change
and so do people
only distorted memories remain
in our confused brains
and we can never escape the terror
we love to create in every way
each damned single day
and still we try to cry those bad thoughts away
even if we all know
there will never be found a safe place to go
since we love to push the button and blow
our future and past in one show

Life is a great gift
and it can give us everything
and make us all feel like a hero
death is a waiting companion
that will lead us through ground zero
so we can achieve the exact same as the earth
before we turn into everlasting dirt
forever glowing in the dark

Things change
and so do people
only scares remain in our souls
but we all know we wont get very old in the long run
so why should anyone of us take any real care
just let those without water die under the hot sun
and those without enough food
just let them wander in the great wood
until they meet their long gone maker
and those who cant work or fit our society the way they should
them we can slowly starve until they give up
and jump from the highest top

Things change

and only dreams remain in our desperate minds
because our will to do right
it disappeared totally when we started to worship fright
and forgot how to share wisdom and love
because we were too busy with our cheep fights
that we overlooked the enormous danger lurking in the night
just waiting to swallow our souls
