glad and willing
they came to do their best
and their hearts were beating
strong in their chests
since they were so lucky
to pass the doping analysis test
and most of all to show their support to IOC
and the great leader Juan Antonio Samaranch
who also have a lot of money
to put into his bank account
and when fatal things happened
he just pushed it under the great carpet
and denied that it had something to do
with the Olympic Games
and that the committee knew the very best
so please let the critic rest

Atlanta you gave your best shot
but nothing worked out
and bombs went off
Atlanta you were much too hot

From the whole world
people came to see and feel the joy
and some even died before it started for real
but the show must go on
whatever it will cost in sorrow and pain
since KKK and the Southern flag
could be seen almost every day on TV
and all the commercial from those old kamerads
blended the sight to those great sports athletics
so all that we were allowed to see
was that hungry nasty greed
but still the competitors set some wonderful
new world records

From the whole world
comes the question why
it is 100 years ago since we started the games again
so the right place should be in the land of Greece
so we could honor the Gods properly
with a spectacular show
that they never would forget
but now it is too late for any regrets
we chose to pay those old pamps their asking price
and almost nothing turned out right
will we ever be able to learn
from our constantly repeating stupid mistakes
and understand that sport is just a game
and not a money machine
