THE TREES ARE HOWLING
and THE FISH RAN

OJO 2004

All those expectations that we once had
those we always believed
would give the best possible life to man
and so we behaved in a peculiar way
that made everything slip right out of our hands immediately
and now we are crying and wimping and mourning
and want it all back like the way it was
before we destroyed it
but I am telling you that it is almost impossible
to rebuild the damages on the earth
but we can not give up so easy we have to try
because one day our children will inherit
and now it is time to act like grown people should do
and forget every thought about profit
and personal benefits and richness

Can't you see what's happening
can't you hear what the aborigines say
when the white man continue cutting trees every day
and when the factory ships clean the ocean totally
what shall we then put upon the table to eat
and when our land is turned into a desert
where shall we then build our homes and rest
our tired feet
can't you see what's happening

All those wonderful and great dreams we once had
makes me wonder where we took the wrong turn
and if we ever will be able to learn anything useful
of course it is exciting to put a man on the moon
and send a lot of expensive rockets deep into outer space
to places where we have no interest ever to live
and to spend billions of dollar on war toys
so the Generals can play
like little boys
but have you thought about those unfortunate people
who have to suffer for all this showing off piss
those poor without homes jobs or families
or at those who were forced to become criminals
just to get something to eat
or at all those children who never got a proper education
or at those unlucky souls who took their own lives
because they could not handle the pressure
laid upon their already broken minds
by the chosen leaders
in our own land
