Don't turn your head away
if you see somebody who is lost
show your support and tell which way to go

if you see somebody lying on the ground
walk over and give a helping hand
don't turn your head away
if you see somebody who is crying
maybe some friend is dying someplace near
don't turn your head away
if you see someone who is stumbling
life's way includes a lot of fumbling

It can happen to you
and what would you do
if everybody turned their heads
it can happen to you
so don't act like a blind fool

Don't turn your head away
if you see somebody who is close to drowning
maybe it is your long lost friend
who you can talk with till the bright morning
don't turn your head away
if you see someone who stands all alone
give of your time and try well to make it fine
don't turn your head away
if you see something wrong going on
show that you are strong
and people will call you a hero
don't turn your head away
you have eyes to see with
and a mind that can concur everything
and hands to help with
don't turn away

Don't believe that it can't happen to you
because destiny is strange
and it can soon catch up with you
so act like a human
never turn away from anything wrong
there is need for you to be
fearless and strong in your mind
and you got to do whatever you can
