Closed their tired and tear-wet eyes
and kissed the last good bye
she was told to rip their souls apart
and he was bound to live alone
and never come close anymore
this is the sad story about real true love
it all happened back in the 80`s
and I am telling you no lies

No one was like them
always holding so tight
nobody tried to understand
no one really was in love like them

They loved to ride on his motorcycle
day or night it did not matter
and he was never afraid
to pick a race at top speed
with the local police
and they let him go because they knew
that he inside was a good boy
who just wanted to have a little fun
playing that he was on the run

But happy days would soon be over for them
the young girl had some severe parents
and they would not let their little girl
be together with a lazy longhaired biker
with a very bad reputation
that everybody knew about
so they told her to find someone better
but she loved him so
and still she had to let him go
this is what I can not understand
when now I am a grown man
what does love mean
when you let things come between
and break up your dream
I don't know I am only a crazy boy
who lost his queen

and said farewell
she headed for a new and secure good life
and he started his dangerous journey
through a living hell
without any stop or rest along the way
