Rising 6th Graders:
I look forward to meeting you in August! I hope that you have a wonderful summer. Keep practicing your math facts and try to do the following once in a while during your summer vacation:
- Cook a meal for your family (helps you with fractions and measurement)
- Manage your money you make this summer. Save some, spend some, keep some for the school year (helps with budgeting)
- Go shopping! Figure out how much your items will cost in your head. Also try to figure out the discounts you may receive. (helps you with mental math and percents and discounts)
