I am a hobbyist taxidermist and work from my garage located in Aurora Ohio.
My start in Taxidermy began in 1972 when a local shop paid me to skin and scrape deer feet for gun racks. For a 13 year old that was quite an opportunity. Curt owned the shop and he took me under his wing teaching me how to mount birds, small animals, fish and game heads. I got to do the hard work scraping hides and breaking the leather after tanning. I that if you didn't quit you must really like taxidermy.
Thirty five years later I'm still at it.
