| CHAPTER FIVE: The Aikis |
| William looked behind him and saw many creatures crawling towards them. They were slimy and thin, with long, wobbly legs protruding from the sides of their bodies. The creatures looked helplessly tortured; William slowly and pitifully walked towards them. He didn't know what he was doing, all he knew was that he must help these creatures. One of them stuck out its long, disgusting, bloody tongue and Tinkle Belle red Rose let out a screech. That slimy creature, looking afraid, immediately took a few steps backward. William walked up bravely towards it and the creature slowly opened its tiny eyes to show how strained they were; then to William's surprise, it spoke in a tired way: "You have saved us from the monster, we are grateful to you." William said disbelievingly, "You ... can talk? You are ..." The creatures chattered among themselves using the sound "Aiki", and caused a din as they slammed their scraggly tails on the ground when they were excited or angry. The cave shook slightly, as the noise level grew higher. The atmosphere became quite scary. Only the creature who had spoken remained quiet, then it crawled towards William. Tinkle Belle Red Rose quickly hid in William's chest pocket. William could see the tears welling up inside the eyes of the monster; suddenly the creature leapt forward and tried to grab Tinkle Belle Red Rose by squeezing at the pocket. Tinkle Belle Red Rose flew up in a hurry and hid behind William. William took out his sword without any intention of slaying the poor tortured creature, however it was so frightened that it leaped back. It cried, "Hero, why do you protect this evil imp, it is evil. Please let us kill it." William could not believe his ears and he became angry at the creatures. "One more of your lies and I shall show no mercy," he said, still gripping his sword tightly. The creature paused for a moment and said slowly and cautiously, "Since you want to protect evil, come and see." It turned back and walked deeper into the cave. The rest of the creatures stopped chattering and followed it slowly with respect. William followed them without bothering about Tinkle Belle Red Rose, who was fuming with fury. She scolded, "Call me an imp!" but she also followed William. As they walked deeper into the caves, they saw many more carvings on the walls. Then it was pitch dark, nothing could be seen. Once or twice, they could hear howling sounds echoing in the cave; William could not find his courage in him during the journey for quite some time. After a good many hours, there was some light from the end of the cave. William quickened his gait, as he was curious about what was going on. Before reaching the bright part of the cave, William heard ear-piercing screams which echoed in the cave. "Tinkle Belle!" William turned find himself locked inside an iron cage. Scanning the cave, William saw a cage and Tinkle Belle Red Rose was held within it, yelling for help. Just then, the creatures crawled towards Tinkle Belle, and William know they were going to harm her; but he cannot get out of the cage. Even though he had used all his force, the rock and cage were still on the same spot. The cave immediately grew dark again, and William could barely see anything at all. All he could see was a beam of sunlight entered the darkness, Rays of sunlight slowly forms a swirl of stars and rays. Slowly it forms... ((Chapter 5 ends here. Chapter 6 coming soon!))
