Thousand-year-old Legend by Silverstein
When angels spread their flaming wings,
Silver blinking eyes of the night sing.
Ancient trees of the dark forest,
Whisper as their leaves rustle,
Winds roaming their way throught the rest.
Eaves-dropping at their secret threats,
When the earth is prepared for its rebirth.
The thousand-year-old legend they hold,
Will soon indeed unfold.
Darkness region of cold nights,
Fairy and rays of hope and light.
Into the bottomless sack,
Then peace will truly be back.
Snow above the range of mountain,
Rose the full bliss of rainbow fountain.
When the last tear of life reaches the ground,
Rises the mournful cries and sounds.
Swirls of fire in the night,
Burning the last hope of light.
Sunshine passes as stories told,
Heroes of the past be bold.
Dear memories of the past,
Shall help peace wake at last.
The lost stories of the thousand-year-old legend,
Who dare to enter that dark region.
