| Rating: PG - Science Fiction/Fantasy, Action/Adventure, Suspense Time: Year 2503 - 2504 Place: A planet called Earth Plot Cory Tanner loves his family, but not his life outside. He is teased constantly in school. When it comes to home, he only feels safe. Uncle J and Aunt Myra are the only family he has ever since his parents died when he was three. His house sits in the middle of the desert in Texas, near Sterling City. But an unexpected thing happened that changes his life forever. Never in Cory's life had he dreamed of aliens and the universe, until he is invited to join the Creatures and Universe Protection Agency (CUPA) at age 18, right after graduation of high school. He is fascinated by the discovery of Trades Town, Secret Island - the place where aliens roam. Soon, he is able to go to CUPA. But he is worried, for he has a secret so deep that he fears of being known about -- the ugly, blue scars on his right arm. He sets out for the CUPA Recruit Camp, and meets a typical English boy, Niles Winter, who becomes his best friend. Later, Eva Ryner, a history-loving Australian girl, is introduced. He learns how to play Suffarac, the universe's most popular sport. He makes more friends, such as Lee Banster, the timid boy, Deborah Khan, a fellow Suffarac teammate, John Bookman, captain of Earth Suffarac Recruit team, and Niles's older brothers, Joe, Josh and Jon, who are triplets. He even has an arch rival, Smarsh Devard, the snipe half-Hearse from Southwest Recruit Station. Cory loves his new life, until he finds out a secret: his scars aren't ordinary scars. They are the Scronex Scars, which possess a Scronex, the evilest creature in the universe. They aren't ordinary Scronex Scars either - they possess the one and only King Xerom the Evilest, feared by many creatures of the universe. Cory finds out more secrets than usual with the help from Cody, his conscience from the mirror, and also from his own father in the diary. He discovers that Commander Ballards, his battle and defense teacher, has something to hide - and it isn't good at all. He has betrayed Cory's father, Counselor Orn and even CUPA by serving for Xerom. Not only him, Madam Minell, a Wicked Wizard, has come to CUPA to kill Cory for her own glory. What Cory hasn't counted on was finding out that he was not just an ordinary Earthling - he was a half-Loner into a full, the endangered creature with twenty lives. He will survive the dreaded death after all, but he isn't feeling too happy yet, for his reputation and life is at stake... Ending Cory saves the day by killing Xerom with the Sword of Bravery, one of his father's possessions. Unluckily, Commander Ballards has let foolishness get to him as he obtains Xerom's Scronex Scars. Maybe it's not an end after all... CLICK HERE TO GO BACK |
