In the Bay Area, Paolina was invited to join two dance companies, Ollin and Grupo Atzlan, lasting several years. Changes in her work location permitted her to venture in the art of Flamenco dance which really touched her internal sensibilities. Thereafter, she focused on taking Flamenco workshops offered by local teachers and visiting dance masters from Spain. She has been part of two Flamenco Companies in the past, and is presently thrilled to be part of Riquezas since 2008.
Highlightning a few Dance Company Performances: Ethnic Dance Festival - Palace of Fina Arts, San Francisco (1994); International Dance Festival - Del Valle Theatre (1996); Rosa Montoya Bailes Flamencos "Poeta" - Palace of Fine Arts (2000); Virginia Iglesias 'Alma Flamenca'' Julia Morgan Theatre and Asjhkenaz (2005)
She likes to travel, read, listen to world music and be with family and friends.
Paolina's dance studies began at age seven in classical ballet, although tap dance was the form she longed for intuitively. It wasn't until her move to the Bay Area for the first time due to her engineering profession that she was exposed a wider range of dance movements.
