Pulling the carbs on a v45 is starting to seem like a routine thing to me.
This can't be good.
On inspection, these carbs are better than
"Rip"'s, but still dirty. I remove the float bowl gaskets and set
to spraying aerosol carb cleaner.
When we worked on "Rip", we thought we had cleaned the carbs and they were still clogged so this time we decided to clean them 3 or 4 times before reinstalling them. And we waited a day or so between cleanings, to give the solvent time to break down the varnish.
I inspected the bowl gaskets they look mostly re-useable, but I've been wanting to buy some of the 3rd party gaskets I'd heard of from ??michael, so I went to my local independent shop and had them order a set for me. Should be in this friday,
so perhaps this weekend I can re-install the carbs and give "DeeDee" a try.
