What will we do and learn?
The Ripple Project has a flexible framework and a lot of space for participants to create their own summer experience; in this way, it embodies some of the principles of what has been called Open Space Technology .  The framework is built on three central themes of Intentional Community, Spirituality and Voluntary Simplicity.
Intentional community:

The Ripple Project is about meeting, sharing, and learning with others who are interested in creating sustainable community. During the summer you will:

-Share stories, ideas, food, work, skills, play, and creation.
-Learn and practice non-violent communication, consensus decision making and conflict resolution.
-Connect with other communities.
-Offer service nearby to those in need.
-Take part in the continual creation of a vibrant community.

Voluntary simplicity:

You may naturally pick up a variety of simpler living skills during the project because you will be practicing simpler living all summer.

-Live rurally, outdoors.
-Build skills by practicing outdoor living, organic gardening, fire making, foraging, shelter building, outdoor cooking...
-Visit other eco-villages and help with projects such as the construction of solar showers and a straw bale house.

Spirituality:

-As a community, develop a way of sharing your diverse spiritual paths.
-Share ritual, music, prayer...
-Visit spiritually-based communities.

Here is what a regular, stay-at-home day may look like:

               -siesta

               -work projects

-discussion circle (weekly topics may include: bringing vision to reality; creating a new                       economy, deep ecology, the artistry of anarchy, right livelihood...)
