Weather Hazards and Environmental Issues:

Weather Hazards:

Choose one weather disaster and include the following:

1-     Explain the hurricane or tornado: example-how tornadoes form, scales used etc.

2-     Discuss the weather associated with the event-this needs be very specific and detailed.(this for the storm you have chosen)

3-     Discuss the damage caused by the storm

4-     Safety-Explain the safety for preparing for one of these storms

Choose on environmental issue (except global warming) facing the globe, our country or our state:

1-     Explain the issue in detail-use science in this section-be very specific with this section

2-     Give the specific location of the problem-what areas are effected by the issue

3-     Are there arguments against this issue- for example- “is it really happening”

4-     What can be done about it? How are we dealing with it? Is there more we can do?

MLA Standards a must! With parenthetical documentation!

5 page paper typed with sources (at least 4 sources with one book included)

Presentation- 5-10 minutes- PowerPoint
