Theodore Bagwell
Also Known As: T-Bag, Teddy
Sentenced to life for six counts of kidnap, rape and murder.
Very little is known about his life before the crimes he committed but during the prison riot Bellick claimed to have read T-Bags file, telling all the inmates that T-Bags father had raped his sister (T-Bags mother.) After the crimes that he committed he apparently reformed, starting a relationship with a woman who had two young children. The girlfriend saw his picture on Americas Most Wanted and she gave him to the police. He told her that he had reformed but that being back in prison had made him a bad person again and that, once he escaped, he was going to get revenge on her.
One of the leaders of the prison he has a habit of claiming more vulnerable inmates as his sexual and personal slaves, making them hold onto his trouser pockets as a sign of submission. He tried to convince Michael to become one but Michael refused. At the race riot, T-Bags slave was killed. T-Bag looked up just in time to see him fall onto Michael and he assumed the Michael had killed him. Instead of just being a slave, T-Bag seemed to be in love with him, carrying around a photo and swearing his revenge against Michael.
He tried to take this revenge but was ferociously beaten by Abruzzi and his gang, returning back to the cells later on to find that his own gang had brought him a present named Seth who later committed suicide after begging Michael for help that he didnt receive.
He became the main instigator of the prison riot and managed to grab himself a guard. He took him into the nearest cell to rape him and it ended up being Michael and Sucres cell. He threw the guard against the sink which came off and he realised the escape plan, inviting himself along and saying that if he wasnt involved that he would tell everyone about the plan before they managed to kill him. Michael refused to let him hurt the guard and, instead, T-Bag found a picture of the guards teenage daughter, making suggestive remarks about her. The guard said that he wouldnt say about the escape plan but T-Bag killed him to make sure that he remained quiet.
When Tweener arrived in the prison T-Bag wanted to claim him but was forced not to by Michael, who still felt guilty about Seths death.
When it was revealed that there were too many people trying to escape, all the other inmates decided that they were going to get rid of T-Bag. T-Bag revealed that he had told someone on the outside about the plan and that if he was killed, the person would raise the alarm.
Abruzzi found out that the insurance was T-Bags cousin and sent his men to kill him. Unfortunately the cousins five year old son saw the murder and was murdered himself. Hearing about this, T-Bag broke down and, in a fit of rage, slashed Abruzzis throat.
He managed to escape with the other inmates but when he realised that Abruzzi planned to kill him he handcuffed himself to Michael and swallowed the key, saying that Abruzzi needed Michael to say where Fibbonaci was and he could therefore not be killed. Abruzzi chopped off his hand with an axe and he was abandoned.
He managed to come across a campsite with a cooler filled with ice. He put his severed hand in there and went into what he thought was a closed medical clinic, but which turned out to be a vets.
He forced the vet, Mr. Gudat, into performing the operation to reattach his hand and once this was done he took Gudats clothes and tied him down to the operating table, literally putting him to sleep. He then dyed his hair and stole his car before heading off to Utah.
