Sentenced to eight years for possession of stolen goods.
He used to be in the army and smuggled contraband in for his superior. He saw an Arab being tortured and planned to make his knowledge public. His superior heard about this and got him kicked out of the military with a dishonourable discharge.
Back home he pretended to his wife and young daughter that he was still in the army because he thought that his wife would leave him if she knew the truth. He found it impossible to find work and ended up driving a truck of stolen goods and was arrested for this. His family still had no idea he wasn�t in the army, yet alone in prison.
In prison he became both the leader of the black inmates and the drug dispensary. Michael needed his help to get the insulin blocker to get into the infirmary. He joined in the escape plan and, because he was spending so much time around the rest of the escapees he was beaten and evicted as the leader of his group of inmates.
He managed to escape successfully.
