Other Pictures

Some of these pictures are interesting to me because of the Brazilian culture and some are just interesting because of the nature of the picture. Anyway, I have put these in this section of the web page - maybe, you will enjoy them also.

I got lucky when I got this picture. It looks like a race between the horse-drawn cart and the city bus. The older version of transportation versus one of the newer versions.

This mall is just 4 months old (opened in March 2002) and is said to be the largest mall in South America. There are 300 stores and it can be expanded to 500.

One afternoon, we got a chance to go by a mental institution in Campinas. One of Marcelo's church members works there.

The Morman's have built a temple in Campinas. It's beauty is in sharp contrast to the problems that the majority of Brazilians face. Statistics say that 75% of Brazilians live on less than 400 Reals per month. At a 2.75 conversion rate, that means that 75% of Brazilians live on less than $150 per month.

Instead of a 'child playing' sign - there are 'Soccer Playing' signs.

There is a Wet And Wild water park near Campinas.

This picture and the next are of a Spiritist Temple in Guapimirim.

On Saturday night, I spoke at this church. Below, there is a picture of our group and the pastor of the church. There were about 200 people in attendance.
