When Duo was younger (I estimate six or seven) he and some of his other orphaned friends stole things like food to survive. One day, little Duo suggested they rob a factory to sell the parts. They got caught, but everyone but Duo got away.
Duo was sent to a church (called Maxwell) to be looked after. A nun at this church made him presentable and brought him up to be the great Duo we all know. But about ten years after Duo arrived at Maxwell, the church was attacked by the Allies. Duo was the only survivor of the attack, and he escaped to the colonies.
Duo Maxwell is a happy guy, always trying to put you in good spirits, but serious enough when he needs to be! All we need to know is that 1) He is cool, 2) he is cute, and 3) he's got a braid (this is crutial information for pointing him out to friends who have no clue what you're talking about, ie: "Duo's the best one, he's the one with the braid.")
