Yzerman playing on one
good leg and with one bad haircut
While much has been made over Red Wings Captain Steve Yzerman's heroic
efforts battling through this years playoffs with a severe leg injury,
little mention has been made of his other handicap; his terrible haircut
(see haircut at left)
"Yeah, I tell you" said Yzerman's coach, Scotty Bowman,
"Playing with that bum leg has been impressive but to play with that hair
cut?! Have you seen that thing??!! How he has managed it I don't know. I'd be
too embarrassed
to leave my house let alone play a hockey game in front of thousands of
people and even more on TV. It's a tribute to him to be able to overcome
something as ......as.........silly looking as that. I don't know
what kind of look he was going for but he missed it by a mile."
