Skippy's Playoff Thoughts

 

What the hell is going on with the NHL playoffs this year?!?!?  I'm not
referring to the upsets in the East or even the shutout clinic being put on
by a number of goalies.  I'm disgusted by the "new idea" in the NHL of The
Dive.  If I wanted to watch WWF Raw, I'd watch TBS instead of ESPN.  Didn't
they make a rule about diving a few years ago?  It's not only teams that I
hate (Colorado), but the Wings, too, are just as guilty.  I'm sick of
watching Kirk Maltby's head jerk backwards everytime someone checks him.  And
how about Dominik Hasek?  What the hell is he doing?  He falls down even when
the puck has left the zone.  While I'm in the Wing-bashing mood......BRENDAN
SHANAHAN.......WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?? His absence comes as no surprise to my
counterpart, Joey, but for me I just can't believe that a guy can be that
talented and prove himself throughout the regular season only to disappear in
the playoffs.  How about the GM comments throughout the first round?  For
those of you who didn't know, "Todd Bertuzzi doesn't wear a red jersey."
What the %&$# does that mean?  Oh, we're sorry, maybe we should let
Vancouver's best player roam around on the ice uncovered.  And Mike Milbury?
Never mind.  Sometimes it's disgusting to watch the continuous CRAP that has
become the NHL.

Now that I'm done "harshing your mellow", I guess I'll finish watching the
Wings get their tails kicked by the Blues.  Until next time, enjoy the Acting
