Pavel
Bure prepares for career after hockey
Florida
Panthers star forward, Pavel Bure (seen at left) is preparing for a career after his
hockey career is completed. Bure is working for a McDonalds in
Miami's downtown area. "I'm currently working at one of the
drive-up windows" said a hurried Bure as he prepared customer orders,
"I really enjoy it, the meeting the customers and everything.
It's cool". Bure decided to apply for the job after
realizing he will need to find employment once his hockey career wraps
up. "I am not getting any younger," Bure joked
"And you never know, I could blow out a knee or something. Then
what? What would I do then? Now, I have my experience
here to fall back on. Can you had me that pickle?".
Bure's
manager, Jasper Hunstmill (Left) is pleased with Bure's work
performance. "For the most part, yes" said Hunstmill
"When he first started he was a little.........snotty, I guess you
could call it. He didn't want to mop up at the end of his
shift. He said it was his job to handle the drive up window
and that George, one of our elderly workers, should do the mopping.
He felt that mopping was beneath him, I guess. I explained the
team concept here at McDonalds, that we all work together as a unit and he
seems to have bought into it. He now mops the floor every
night. George and him still don't get along though. I've had
to separate them a few times".
Bure works
Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays from 4 pm to closing.
