Seminars

During the last decade or so, our club has sponsored a number of seminars to spread knowledge on French Ring training techniques and rules. Among the invited trainers we have had on our club are Gaetan Graciano from France, Mel Romero, Stephen Karras and Frank Cowen from the USA, and José "Pepe" Camarena, Federico Melo and Alvaro Olvera from Mexico. We have also sponsored seminars on competitive obedience, agility and conformation.

Federico Melo Seminar

Although we did not had a trial during 2007, it was a busy year too. We organize a seminar by Federico Melo to upgrade our training skills and keep our dogs in shape with one of Mexico top level decoys.

Frank Cowen Workshops
2008-Present

Frank Cowen has develop a mentor relationship with Caribbean Dog Sport. He frequently visits the Island and do workshops that are always a great success. They are customized towards the particular needs of the dogs for either Ring Sport, Schutzhund or Personal Protection that come to the seminars. With only a few days to work with our dogs and ourselves in each visit Frankie improves our training routines a lot. There is a lot of foundation work done for puppies, but also training and trial techniques for the many brevets, ring 1 and ring 2 dogs that are preparing for the current trial season. Frankie also develops our decoys techniques in preparation for the decoy certifications.
