Alex Gault, is a 13 year old school boy, from Carluke, in Scotland, who is currently wiping the floor with the competition, not just in the Junior class, but also in the Up-to 500cc class. His riding style is smooth, and very fast, and he is intimidated by absolutely nobody.
Riding 2 Honda RS125 GP bikes, I have heard various excuses as to why nobody can catch him, most of them relating to the bikes, but in all honesty, none of them hold any water. He's just faster, smoother, and gutsier (IMHO).
Having broken his wrist at Mallory Park, Alex has come back with full effect, and full confidence, after a damage limitation exercise at the previous meeting, the latest meeting saw some excellent results, and a brilliant, forceful comeback by the 13 year old. Setting a new lap record of 57.0 seconds in the single cylinder class, was an awesome result, on a bike plagued with set-up problems on the Saturday.
