Yesterday to Today

I was thinking of you,
Wondering what to do.
Yesterday was very special.

As I saw you when I walked out of class,
I had a very special feeling.
Yesterday had a lot of meaning.

I thanked you for walking me home,
And I asked you to stay.
Yesterday was almost as good as today will be.

You stayed and talked with me,
And helped me to see into your world.
Yesterday was great fun.

Today, we are going to the movies,
I hope that we'll have fun.
Today will be very special.

I'll walk home by myself,
And give you a call.
Today will have a lot of meaning.

You'll come by and pick me up,
And we'll head to the theater.
Today will be good.

We'll talk, and watch the movie,
And I'll help you to see into my world.
Today will be great fun.


Writer's note: 
This was written only about two hours before finding out
that the subject of this poem was dead.  Kinda ironic, no?
