What you will need the following:
Sparco Evo2 Rails from a 3rd gen Integra seat A drill A BFH 4 short bolts 4 locking nuts 8 washers
The first step is to remove the stock brackets from the stock seat. The left bracket will be ready to go but the right rail will have 2 brackets welded to it. Just grind the weld tabs off then smack it with a BFH. Now your right rail should have a flat top just as the left rail.
Now mount the side brackets to the Sparco seat making sure to have the tabs tucking under the seat and the shorter end of the bracket to the front. Be sure to use washers on the bolts attaching the side mount brackets to the seat (Sparco doesn't provide washers with their seats). Loctite Blue is also a good idea as I have had these bolts work themselves loose.
Now mount the stock rails to the car. Measure the distances between the holes on the side rails on the seat or better yet make a carboard template showing where to drill holes that will match up with the side mount brackets. MEASURE TWICE DRILL ONCE. Dill holes into the stock rails so that they match up with the holes in the side mount brackets.
Now simply bolt the seat to the stock rails using a bolt, washer and locking nut. Please note from the pictures that the bolt will need to be quite short to fit into the slider trench.
Now shake your seat. If something rattles or moves check that you tightened everything down.
If you got the Evo2 like me you will also find the seat is a little wider then the room available in an Integra but don't worry, the seat will "naturally" make itself fit.
Sorry I don't have pictures of the whole process but the final result picures are self explanatory. |
